Ring Sizer — Support
Getting an accurate measurement
Calibrate first
On first launch the app asks you to place a bank card on the screen and align the frame with its edges. Any ISO‑standard card works: debit or credit card, driver's licence, ID card, loyalty card of the same size (85.60 × 53.98 mm). Place the card vertically, flat on the glass, and look straight down at it. Calibration takes 20 seconds and is stored on your device. Repeat it any time from the “Calibrate” button if you change screen protector or want to double‑check.
Measuring a ring
- Use a ring that fits the finger you are buying for, on the same hand.
- Put the ring on the upper part of the screen and take your hands off it. Use the slider and ± buttons at the bottom to adjust the circle.
- Match the circle to the inner edge of the ring, not the outer edge. The magnifier shows the edge enlarged.
- Look straight down at the screen. Viewing at an angle shifts the edge by up to a quarter size.
- If the result says “between two sizes”, order the larger one.
Measuring a finger without a ring
- Cut a strip of paper about 5 mm wide, wrap it snugly around the base of the finger and mark where it overlaps. Lay it on the on‑screen ruler and read the length, or type it in.
- Measure in the evening, when fingers are at their largest, and never when your hands are cold.
- Make sure the strip can pass over the knuckle. If the knuckle is much wider than the base, choose a size between the two.
- Wide bands (6 mm and more) usually need a half size up.
Ads and the “Remove Ads” purchase
The free version shows one ad after a result, at most once per session, and never before your first result. “Remove Ads” is a one‑time purchase that removes ads permanently.
Restoring the purchase on a new phone or after reinstalling: open Settings → “Restore purchases”. Make sure you are signed in to Google Play with the same Google account you bought it with. If it still does not work, email us with the Google Play order number (it starts with GPA.).
Refunds are handled by Google Play: open the Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history, or contact us and we will sort it out.
Privacy choices
In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you can change your advertising consent in Settings → “Privacy options”. Everywhere else, personalised ads can be limited in Android Settings → Google → Ads. The app never uses the camera; see the Privacy Policy for details.
Deleting your data
All your data (calibration, saved sizes, settings) lives only on your device. To delete it, clear the app's storage in Android Settings → Apps → Ring Sizer → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app. There is no account to delete and nothing stored on our servers that identifies you.
Something is wrong?
- The circle looks the wrong size — recalibrate with a bank card and check that you matched the inner edge of the ring.
- The ring triggers touches on the screen — a metal ring held in your fingers can register as a touch. Put it down and let go before adjusting; the controls are at the bottom for this reason.
- The app crashed — crash reports reach us automatically. If it keeps happening, email us with the phone model and what you were doing.
